Yello all.

It's been (really) a long time ago since I last posted something decent to read. It has been 4 months since I landed my feet in the concrete jungle.
Due to some cultural shock, when I first saw the New York, I didn't feel anything at all. The first thing that came into my head was : "Shit, I'm going to be stuck here for 4 years."
The idea of feeling lucky of being given the opportunity to be in this magical place, just...poof. vanished, just like Cinderella when the clock strikes 12. Just like magic.

For the last 4 months, I haven't live my supposedly-exciting-and-intriguing life to the fullest. I kept on looking back, towards what I left back then in my hometown. Kept on missing friends back at home, kept on thinking the shits I left back at home, and unconsciously, I was walking backwards yet the life was moving forward.

It was like being on a treadmill really. You were facing backwards, yet the treadmill (a.ka the life) was moving forward. When you realized the magical thing that you were supposed to see if you walk forward, it's all too late. Because it happened, in the past.

Life was not good back then. I was stupid.
But then again, you know what, it's in the past.

Now, I am being faced with two choices, to keep on walking backwards, or turning my body into the right direction to make peace with the treadmill.

I choose the latter.
So yes, now I can say...

New York City, bring it on.

Tidak tau ya, rasanya kesepian. Sepi, sepi, sepi, hati ini sunyi. Yang ada hanya suara daun yang bergemerisik...... Tunggu. Bergemerisik dengan apa? Bahkan daun pun kehilangan pasangannya beradu suara.
Yang ada hanya sepi, sepi, sunyi. Semua hangar bingar tertelan penat. Tertelan ganasnya kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Penat yang ada hanya penat.

Penat, penat, lelah. Penat rasanya, punggung ini, jari ini, mata ini, badan ini. Rasanya mereka butuh asupan atau suntikan morfin. Ya, biar sekedar agar mereka melega saja. Melepaskan segala tensi yang rasanya kian hari semakin menggerogoti hingga keropos. Sepertinya seiring berjalannya jaman, tidak hanya ada osteoporosis saja. Zaman telah berkembang kawan, penyakit pun tidak mau kalah.

Hati, hati, hati-hati. Apa artinya? Dua hati? atau maksudnya saya harus berjaga - jaga? Maksudnya apa? Berjaga - jaga untuk dua hati? Absurd. Aneh. Siapa sih penempa kata? Siapa sih si ibunya kata? Siapa yang mempunyai gagasan seperti itu, mengawinkan hati dengan hati yang lain? Apa maksudnya kita harus berhati - hati? Berhati - hati memilih hati yang lain?

....

Time

Time is indeed the most powerful and desired thing in everyone's life. People yearn for more time, because they think that by earning more of it, will make their lives easier. 24 hours a day is simply not enough.
But, come to think of it, time is also the most dreadful and easily forgotten thing in life.
Time can pass you by without you even realizing it. By the time you really have opened up your eyes, all you can see are wrinkles and, as the cherry on top, how you have not made use of your time to the utmost. Now, I really know why my father has always asked me to manage my time more wisely. No father wants his child to wake up one day with dissapointments and regrets. Having to be able to manage your time wisely, is as same as being able to take down a beast. Imagine Disney's Beauty&The Beast, when Belle is finally able to cast the Beast off the curse. Time is like the Beast. Being able to manage it, is as same as taming a beast, which in fact is a beauty in disguise.
Time is your best friend, if you learn how to control it. I haven't able to tame it myself, I'm still learning and will always learn until... well, I can't even decide.

A few days ago, I realized something. How time has passed as fast as a blink of an eye. Everyone moves on, everyone is writing a new chapter of their lives' novels. And, how I feel amused, that because of being completely occupied for the last couple of months lately, has made me completely left behind. From my friends, and everything. The moment I started to catch up, the moment I realized how their lives has passed by without me in it. Because I'm too busy with myself. Come to think of it, it's my consequences. Everything has its phases, and this is the time for me to take care of myself. And, only myself.
It doesn't mean I don't care about what's out there that happen around my friends' lives, it's just, I have set my priorities. I've made mistakes before, for thinking about others too much, that I was all broken and shattered inside, being left out in my own self, being left behind in my own self. That's even worse. Not going back there again.
I love my friends, I love them, really. But, I know, they'll understand. I know they love me too. I believe they're thinking the same thing. It's time for us to make up ourselves. Make ourselves better. And after then, let's get reunited and see how each and everyone of us has grown into someone that's somewhat amazing.

Time will tell.

Awalnya jelek, jijik dan menakutkan (bagi beberapa orang), bentuknya ulat dan lengket. Tapi, setelah masa itu lewat, kadang orang salah liat. Mereka kira, masa ulatnya udah selesai. Justru salah, itu saat dimana semuanya baru dimulai. Saat kepompong. Saat berpikir, saat merenung. Baru disanalah, semuanya dimulai.
Masa penentuan.

Apakah si kepompong akan mati sebagai kepompong saja, atau dapat berubah jadi kupu - kupu.
Ya sama seperti masalah, apa kamu mau terus ngenang itu sebagai masalah, atau cepat - cepat merubah itu jadi berkat?

Itu pilihan kamu, loh.

Yang pasti saya percaya sama kamu, percaya banget. Semangat ya? Kamu itu luar biasa, semua orang luar biasa. Tapi, saya punya kepercayaan lebih untuk kamu. Sekali lagi, karena saya tau kamu.

Browsed through my archives, and found out that.... I had changed a lot.
From this quirky and all-blabbing with my second personality posts about stupid things happened around me, which I wanted to be funny --- I don't know, I guess they turn out to be cheesy and corny o.O,
To this all these melancholy posts. This is like a change that the Americans expect from Obama.
No, not that my change made all the promises Obama made during his campaign happen, no. It's just that, it really flipped. A hundred and eighty degrees, I supposed.

The real truth is, we don't have to seek for miracle. Because God has planted all of the miracle inside of us. We just have to find the trigger to turn the miracle button inside of us on. It's there, inside of us. We pray not so the miracle will come to you, but to turn it on ---- and to keep it on.

Some people are too obsessed in miracles, they look for it everywhere. Under the table, under the bed, behind the clouds, inside the mountains, like everywhere. Possible or not possible. Have to say, how foolish they are. When they are too busy looking for them, they have missed all the miracles they're about to enjoy. They have missed the closest, most possible place where the miracle's house is located.

It's there! Why bother looking for it elsewhere? It's inside you.

We are the miracle.

Mengawali pagi dengan sedikit hentakan dan teriakan. Astaga, si tangan cacat sudah menunjuk si angka lima? Astaga. Niatnya, mata ini sudah terbuka ketika ia baru menunjuk si angka 10, tapi apa daya. Si jendela jiwa ini ingin rehat lebih lama lagi. Ya sudahlah. Menikmati waktu lebih lama dalam alam mimpi tidak ada ruginya kan?

Pintu terbuka, masih gelap. Tapi pipi ini basah karena ciuman dari hujan. Awal yang baik untuk pagi yang baik. Sudah lama rasanya, terjaga ketika sendiri dan dibangunkan oleh hujan. Dasar, si kekasih yang selalu datang dan pergi....dan penuh kejutan. Itu yang kusuka darinya.

Mana si gelas berasap yang biasanya sudah tersedia depan mata? Ah iya...masih gelap. Semuanya masih beralam mimpi.......Teringat. teringat. Gelas, asap dan aroma. Teringat. Teringat. Hujan. Teringat. Teringat.
Pagi yang penuh kejutan, dasar hujan. Mencium dan kemudian menyentil? Hebat betul ya, kamu.

Teringat sebuah jiwa yang sedang redup sinarnya. Sedih betul, aku melihatnya. Ingin kubelikan cahaya pendar kalau bisa. Ingin kubelikan lilin kalau bisa. Ingin kubelikan pemantik, kalau bisa. Kalau itu dapat menyalakan sumbu-mu lagi. Bahkan, sumbu-mu tidak lagi terlihat. Tidak kasat mata.
Seperti tertutup, tenggelam dalam gelapnya jebakan jiwa. Terperangkap kegalauan dan ketakutan. Semuanya melahap habis sumbu-mu. Bodoh, tau tidak?

Kemana kobaran api yang selalu menyala dan membakar langit? Kemana kobaran api itu? Lebih baik kamu pergi, entah kemana. Berkelana lah, cari kembali sang api. Tidak ada? Buatlah sendiri. Semua bahannya ya di dalam dirimu sendiri. Api tidak didapat dengan duduk diam atau bersatu dengan air.
Api macam apa yang bersatu dengan air? Air bagi api adalah bunuh diri. Berdampingan, baiklah, tapi tidak bersatu. Ia dapat melahapmu habis.

Curiga datang. Jangan - jangan, sumbu itu kamu potong sendiri? Sang gelap sudah merasuki tanganmu. Tuh kan, bodoh. Kamu tidak boleh disini, cepat pergi.

I couldn't help but feel guilty. Going to college is a huge deal. Not only for me, I believe, but also for my parents. Handling the tuition and stuffs. How much amount of money they've to spend on me. The guilt is there, I'm telling you.

My sister said that I shouldn't worry about such things, because, it's their responsibility, to send their kids to college so that they can pursue their education and hopefully a step closer towards becoming who they want to be. Shortly, their dreams. And also, my sister said that it's not spending, but more like investing. My parents are investing on me. Imagine like the businessmen investing their money into a prospective company or a child investing her time to play or an actress-wanna-be investing her time to go into an acting workshop. People will not invest, unless they know that whatever they're investing on is either prospective or fun (in this case, look at the child case).

The question is : Am I prospective enough, am I qualified enough...to be invested?

Kalau dipikir - pikir, saya belum mengepost satupun yang berbau "taun baru" ya? Baiklah, ini dia post yang (mungkin) telah dinanti-nantikan.

Tahun 2010, yang pasti tahun yang dashyat. Banyak tangis, banyak tawa, banyak teriakan, banyak sakit hati, banyak kebohongan, banyak topeng, banyak pencerahan, banyak penjelajah, banyak penduduk tetap, banyak. Semua yang mungkin ada dalam hidup terangkum singkat, padat dan jelas dalam 365 hari 8760 jam 525600 menit dan 31536000 detik.

Tahun 2010, penuh pelik. Saya tidak pernah merasa selelah itu menjalani satu tahun, tapi juga tidak pernah merasa sebahagia itu. Aneh bukan? Ya, aneh. Banyak yang saya temukan, banyak juga yang perlu saya lepaskan. Saya rasa itu hidup.

Tahun 2010, saya tau. Ya, saya tau cita - cita saya. Saya akhirnya dapat menggambarkan sosok saya dalam 5, 10, 15 tahun kedepan. Karena saya tau apa yang saya inginkan. Akhirnya, hidup saya memiliki arah tujuan dan semangat yang terus tidak akan mati di dalam sini. Ya, hati saya sini. Panggil pemadam kebakaran terberani di seluruh antero jagat, atau pembela keadilan dan kebenaran yang dapat mengeluarkan sinar laser, mereka tidak akan dapat memadamkannya.Coba saja kalau kamu mau.

Tahun 2010, saya menemukan diri saya. Banyak pelajaran yang benar - benar tidak hanya saya petik, tapi juga saya jejal ke dalam mulut saya sampai ke akar - akarnya. Muntah bukan sesuatu yang luar biasa, setiap kali mungkin saya berusaha memuntahkannya. Tapi, pada akhirnya muntahan itu akan kembali ke mulut saya. Jijik memang. Susah memang. Sakit memang. Tapi toh akhirnya berhasil saya telan juga.

Tahun 2010, saya banyak berbohong. Berbohong sana berbohong ini. Topeng sana topeng sini, semua demi mereka - mereka yang saya perjuangkan. Yang saya sayangi. Mengorbankan ini mengorbankan itu, semua demi mereka. Tangis rahasia sebelum tenggelam dalam alam mimpi, teriakan dalam hati yang tidak bisa diam, hingga berbohong menjadi suatu hal yang mudah. Seperti berbicara fakta, katakanlah begitu. Ujung-ujungnya, diri sayapun bisa saya kelabui. Ya, semua demi mereka. Hanya, demi mereka.

Tahun 2010, pertengkaran sengit banyak terjadi. Pertengkaran yang susah bertitik temu. Pertengkaran yang wasitnya kabur entah kemana hingga menggantung. Pertengkaran yang penuh sandiwara. Drama, drama, drama. Seakan mengantri untuk saya telan. Mau apa sebenarnya mereka dengan saya?

Tahun 2010, maaf untuk mereka yang telah saya kelabui. Saya mainkan perasaannya. Saya kelabui dengan teganya. Maaf. Sungguh, percaya sama saya. Semua ada maksudnya, dan mungkin ini bukan saat yang tepat untuk dibuka. Tapi, percaya sama saya.
Maaf juga untuk sosok yang begitu berjasa dalam membuat saya menjadi saya yang sekarang. Beliau.

Tahun 2010, terima kasih. Sungguh, bahkan kata terima kasih tidak dapat menggambarkan betapa bersyukurnya saya atas betapa kacaunya tahun itu. Pelajaran yang saya dapat bukan main-main.
Terima kasih untuk mereka yang selalu ada untuk saya. Terima kasih untuk mereka yang telah pergi. Terima kasih untuk mereka yang menarik saya kembali ke cahaya. Terima kasih. Terima kasih. Terima kasih. Terima kasih. Terima kasih. Terima kasih. Terima kasih.

What's up with human nature?
Is it written on the wall that humans are destined to want what they shouldn't have?
I don't know about you, but I do.

The more I shouldn't have it, the more I want it.
The more you restrict me, the more I'll bail myself out to get it.
I believe some of you who read this, feel the same way.
Why am I so sure? Because we're all humans, you and I.
Some of you, who feels not the same way I do, I believe is in denial.
Again, because we're all humans, you and I.

It's not only written on the wall, but also on the sky. That it is our nature. Like vampires that crave for blood or a child dream on getting on a roller coaster. The higher the restriction and dangerous level, the more interesting it gets. Hence, curiosity. And it's a fact that curiosity drives your adrenaline mad that makes you feel more excited about life. About what's happening around you.
That's why, challenge (that's what it's called) is sought.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, that's the part where I fall into the wrong pit. I always look and search for challenge out there served on the table for me to enjoy, but I sought too much excitement that I always end up at things that are impossible for me to achieve. Things with not only the highest level of restriction but also difficulty. As a result, I never feel truly satisfied.

Come to think about it, it's a good thing.
Come to think about it twice, questions are born.
Come to think about it again and again, I sorted the question.
Come to think about it for the last time, I got a winning question.

And, the winning question happens to be : "When will I ever be happy... if I'm never satisfied?"

Please, just for once. Give me a chance to have something that I want, NOT, what I need.
Because you know what?
I need that.

I need to feel at least a bit of satisfaction of getting what I want, and maybe just maybe, I can decide my own pocketful of sunshine.

Sedikit 'bernostalgia' dengan teman tentang masa lalu yang pahit.
Ah, masa lalu yang gila.

120 menit kembali ke masa lalu. Tapi, cukup hanya itu saja.
Ditambah sedikit percikan 3 menit, untuk menulis post ini sepertinya.
Tapi, cukup hanya itu saja.

Masa lalu, ya, masa lalu.
Sudah tersimpan di peti mati yang begitu rapat.
Telah diberi wewangian melati, berisyarat bahwa aku melepas kepergiannya dengan senyum lapang.

Kaki kiriku sudah menari - nari di sisi pintu yang lain.
Kaki kananku sudah terangkat dan tinggal berjarak 0.5 sentimeter dari sisi pintu yang lain.
Saya tidak mau dan tidak akan meletakkan kaki kananku ke sisi yang sebelumnya.
Sudah cukup.

Saya pergi.

Ah, ternyata. Sesudah terketik kata 'pergi'
Ternyata itu yang kubutuhkan selama ini.
Mengatakan kata 'pergi'.

Kaki kananku sudah di sisi pintu lain.

Sekarang aku tinggal membalik badan.
Suatu saat, aku akan tertawa.
Melihat apa yang telah kulalui.
Menorehkan lengkungan terbesar di atas wajah.

"Life is what happens to you when you're too busy making plans"

A few years back then, I might said that it was equivocal. Well, I used to think that life is about making plans. About knowing what you're actually doing. So, how come life is what happens other than your plans?
Everything has its season, yes it is.

And, it seems that the year of 2010 is the time when the equivocal flipped into something absolute. Since the beginning of 2010 until the end of it, I never even for a split second rest on my feet and relax. Not, that I'm seeking for being busy. But, they just come after me, and stupid of me, I let them.

Being busy is fun in some way, it makes you feel somewhat productive and actually standing on the ground. But, it also makes you blind in some way. Keeping yourself from what happened out there in the real world, other than your private little space.

I miss my friends, that's the point. I miss me.
Being busy kept me for having the time to have fun with my friends. When I do have one, I felt so tired that I couldn't be as fun as I used to be. I need to cut my self some slack.

To be honest, I don't know what did I write for the last 4 paragraphs.

Selamat hari Ibu.

Seorang perempuan menitikkan air mata di pojok ruangan cafe. Wajahnya tetap merah merona, seakan tidak ada masalah, tapi matanya berkata lain. Matanya terus berair dan berair dengan wajah yang begitu lurus. Tanpa ekspresi. Kontras, kata yang tepat untuk menggambarkannya.

Kalau saja ada kaca pembesar yang menunjukkan isi hati seseorang, sepertinya sedang ada perang hebat antara hati dan pikirannya. Perang yang terjadi hanya di satu tempat. Raganya. Raga-nya yang terlihat begitu rapuh dan rentan terhadap liarnya tiupan angin dan dinginnya udara di sekitarnya.

Terlihat berkali - kali matanya mendelik ke arah telefon genggamnya, kemudian memalingkan kembali pandangannya. Mendelik, menolak, mendelik, menolak, begitu terus hingga terdengar seruput green tea latte yang keras tanda ia harus membeli secangkir lagi.

Entah apa yang akan dilakukan perempuan itu nantinya, yang pasti sekarang saya harus membeli secangkir tall green tea latte lagi, karena baru saja kuseruput tetes terakhir.

Have you ever felt so grateful towards everything? Knowing that how God loves you to the utmost, and He REALLY knows what's best for you, even in the quirkiest, 'meanest' way?

I have and I do.

Sitting on my second floor balcony, enjoying the fresh air with the intriguing scent of Green Tea Latte getting into my nostrils, I'm feeling great. Not just having a state of good mood, but I really feel great --- other than I've gained a few kilograms --! I realized how amazing my life has been. Peculiarly, it's mostly not because of the fortunate events, but because of my misfortunes.

Falling into the wrong pit, making wrong decisions, feeling miserable, breaking other people's hearts, crying my heart out, blinding my own eyes, forgetting to love myself, yes.

All those tears-provoking events are the ones that have made my life amazing. Why is that so?

Because those are the events that have made me grow, making me who I am today.

Grateful, happy young lady. NOT (faking-to-be)grateful and (faking-to-feel)happy young lady.

There's a huge difference in there, yea?

After all this time, turns out all that I have to do to stop faking is to let go. Not letting go something/someone/whatever in particular, but letting go my own feeling. My feeling on how I hate myself for being completely dumb because of how chaotic my life has been, NOT because of others but because of myself. Being so weak and insecure, but do nothing about it. Pretending to be tough yet broken in the inside. No.

I have to let that go. I have to stop being so tough, if clearly, I'm not.

Letting go doesn't mean you lose.

Letting go doesn't mean you surrender.

Letting go doesn't mean you are a weakling. No.

Letting go means maturity.

Letting go means knowing your limits, knowing what's best for you.

Letting go means loving yourself.

When you succeeded on doing so, believe me. It feels greater than everything, even greater than spending 12 hours of your day sipping green tea latte with the hottest celebrity in town. It feels like feeling new.

And, the greatest thing is, you really get to be tough right now. Proving to yourself how tough you are.

People might think that you're so tough, but in the end, the only one you should prove your toughness to is yourself. Voila!

After you've done so, letting go, ask this to yourself.

"Hello, nice to meet you. Who are you? You're looking great!!"

Because, congratulations, you are new. Enjoy your brand new life! This is way easier than reincarnation, aye?

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain-looking, some expensive, and some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

After all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it's just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and then began eyeing each other's cups."

Now consider this:
Life is the coffee, and the jobs, houses, cars, things, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee.

There are many answers regarding that question.
As for me, I will answer, "I don't know". Not because I don't know myself, but seriously, it's equivocal.
People change, and if you consider yourself as one, then you do too. People keep on changing and changing until they find who they really are. And when will that time come?
When will you discover yourself?
When you got back from some kind of retreat, like the one in Eat, Pray, Love?
You might say you're cheerful at the time being, but who can guarantee you, that you'll not change?

"Who are you?" is a life-time question. Some people find the answer when they are 20, some when they are 35, etc. But, not when you're a teenager. The opportunity for you to get to know a little more of yourself is when you're on edge. "I often got on edge!", yes, you might say that.
If you're a teenager, when you're on edge, you're not really on the edge. You are actually in a very safe place that looks like you're on edge. Being a teenager is like living in a training camp, it is hard, but it's still only a training.
You haven't met the real deal yet.
So, yes, none of the teenagers knows who he/she is. You've got to wait.

Relax, take it easy. Everyone has their own moments in order to get to know him/herself better. It doesn't matter whether it's when you're 20, 30, 40 or even 80. Because, in the end, the only thing that matters is yourself.

So, ask this to yourself every single day : "Who am I?"
You'll get shocked on how your own answers might vary from time to time.

Have you ever wondered why good things come to an end?
Have you ever wondered why after you smile, most probably you'll cry the moment after?

Have you ever wondered why there's a beginning and an end?

If you say 'yes' for most of the questions, congratulations, you've earned yourself a life.
If you say 'no' for most of the questions, go out a little.
Live a life, experience miseries, let yourself cry, hurt, angry.

Imagine life as a scale. If the right side is heavier than the left, it won't reach the balance state. If it doesn't get to the balance state, everything will go out in chaos. Even though both right and left side are good things, they still have to be measured in an exactly same capacity.
For example : imagine HAPPINESS is heavier than the SADNESS, life will probably be good for the first few minutes, but then when happiness started to take over, later on, life will become... flat. People don't realize what's HAPPINESS anymore, because they've never experienced SADNESS.

I'm asking you this,
Are you sure if there's no negative deeds, there will be world peace?

And then, 'THE ENDING' takes place. There'll always be ending in everything. Either good things or bad things. People sometimes forget to see the other side of them. They'll always whine about why good things come to an end, but they seldom remember that they've felt grateful that bad things come to an end before.
Life is a sequence of BEGINNING-ENDING-BEGINNING-ENDING-.....
So, when you stated something as the ending, remember, it's also the beginning of something new.

All you need is to change your perspective, ergo, look for a lot of sides.

A young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it.

But an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said,
“Your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine.”

The crowd and the young man looked at the old man’s heart. It was beating strongly but full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in … but they didn’t fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. The young man looked at the old man’s heart and laughed.
“You must be joking,” he said. “Compare your heart with mine … mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears.”

” “Yes,” said the old man, “Yours is perfect looking … but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love….. I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them … and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges.
“ Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away … and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges … giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too … and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?”

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man.
The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man’s heart.
It fit …. but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.
The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since lovefrom the old man’s heart flowed into his.

I can't wait to go away, to finally taking a real step of chasing my dream. I can't wait to get out of this strictly guarded jail who has always forced me to do what they want. But, this is another phase of my life that I should pass. I've always believed that all of my hardwork will pay off.

I'm not a runner, I'm a walker who walks slowly while enjoying the scenery.
I prefer 'travelling' rather than 'arriving'.
I have always believed that it's the journey that matters the most.

My favourite moment of the day is when I was sitting alone in my car, doing nothing but looking into the window with my iPod on. I sighed when it's over, in other words, when I arrived.

I love my life, with its misery attached.

VENUE : THE CAFE

There is a group of two most-probably housewives and a man. The first housewife is skinny, talkative and has taken over the dominative side in conversation. The second housewife is fat with short curly hair, carrying a brown Gucci bag. For most of the time, the housewives have been talking about things that the man doesn’t have any interests in.

That’s why, his eyes wandered around the café, he looked into her Rolex watch every once in a while. They laughed together once though, but then the first housewife started to talk again, and I saw the man sighed a little and started sipping his --- my guess would be Robusta, seeing from his puffy and tired eyes. He must have had a long night or life, perhaps.

“What time is it? What are we waiting for? Oh please, stop talking. I don’t know where to go other than here with the wives. Oh, what a life. I might as well enjoy my coffee rather than getting into the high school house wives chat”

I believe that was what the man is thinking.

He put his hand under his chin, pretending to listen to what the first housewife is talking about. But his eyes are empty. Clearly showing he has no interest in what the housewife is saying. I overheard their chat a little, and it was talking about the first housewife’s 10 year old child who asked her whether she wanted a cigarette or not. She also complained about how rebellious her first child is. But seeing from the look of her face, she seems okay with it. She might complain by her words and all, but her eyes and gestures show completely the opposite. They show how she doesn’t really care about her kids.

The rest of the conversation became mundane, still, the man is getting even more bored.

My prayers are with you, sir.

Female, not regarding of her age, can be pretty annoying.

I have always loved the feeling whenever I was covered with coat. Esp. Cashmere coat.
It's not the fabric that matters the most, it's the feeling. Whenever I usedit, I felt warm. Warm blood rushing through my body, filling every inch of my body with its spark that lightens me up.

The same feeling whenever I was hugged.

The thing is, my cashmere coat can't smile back at me, can't hug me back, can't pat on my back saying "My boss, everything is going to be okay". No, it couldn't.
It simply there, whenever you need it, they're right there inside your drawer. Standing still (or hanging still?) watching every moves that you made, every smiles drawn on your face, every secret tears that you shed whenever you went to bed, every silly moves you made everytime you hear "Chicken Song" and it laughs and smiles and frowns secretly everytime ---- the cashmere coat, I mean.

They're filled with unlimited magic powers as same as credit card's, all you need to 'activate' them is by taking care of your cashmere coat. So, the magic won't go away.

I have my own cashmere coat, it's pale brown.

My dad say, it's better to know everything you can, because that everything is what will make you grow. Make you stronger. Strenghten you. So you'll really know what's really out there, what life is all about.

What do I say about it?

I once said to a friend of mine : "Bersyukurlah dengan ketidaktahuan anda" or "Be grateful for what you don't know", yes that's what I believe.
Sometimes, not knowing, is better than knowing. Because once you knew about something, you would start thinking about it, and then, your head would start to feel like something was punching you from the inside, hurting you without even you realizing it.
And then you would to begin to change, more gloominess, so on and so forth.

All of that, all of that gloominess, sadness, punching from the inside thingy won't happen if you simply... ignore. But is that the exit?

People-watching.

I sat in Starbucks for a couple of hours today. I ordered Chicken Mushroom Spinach Panini (or whatever that is, I don't really remember. I simply ordered and enjoyed it, what matter is that it's food, yea?) without any drinks. Shame on me, I've been running low on money these days. Thinking on saving some money too, so yea. I'm currently limiting my expenses.

Beside me, there was a man. He was doing some architecture project, I guess. He got this really big-not-so-handy laptop on his table along with his Grande Caramel Frappucinno. He held his Blackberry like ALL the time, while I was there. It was approximately 2 hours and a half, yes.

Across of my table, I saw a native man. Probably Australian. He was wearing this white Polo shirt and short pants. Was reading his Jakarta Post, accompanied with his Starbucks' mug. I couldn't guess what he was drinking though. But if you ask me what my guess is, it'll probably be Green Tea Latte.

Why? Because of that look on his face when he had a sip. Exactly how I looked whenever I drank one too.

Green Tea Latte is -- and will always be, my best bud.

Okay, the thing is. I realized that most people who went to Starbucks, were alone -- including me.

Here goes the magic. I don't feel alone -- at all. Even though, I WAS alone.

I guess, that's what coffee shop is all about.

Being alone without feeling alone.

Giving you some time to think about everything, without giving other people pressure to ask you "Are you okay?"

Wow, time flies. Really, it does. In an uncontrollable speed, amazingly fast.

1st Birthday, 5th Birthday, 10th Birthday, 15th Birthday, and 16th Birthday have passed.

I always have this thought in my mind "Oh please birthday come come fast quick quick!"

But then again, I realize.

The more I think about that, the more I waste my time, doing nothing productive. Letting the time passed by.

So now, won't let that happen again folkies!
